If I'm wrong, I'm sorry.... :blah:
Completely stock engine. At 93,000 miles it had never had the valvecovers off, and still had exhaust manifolds. The only mods were:
3200 stall
4.10 gears
Hypertech chip
Moroso CAI
Splitfire plugs
Taylor 8 MM wires
MSD 7AL-2
MSD "Blaster" coil
Flowmaster "cat-back"
Gutted cat
15x3 1/2" & 15x8" Draglites

That was it...And still at full weight, back seat and all. The only thing missing was the front sway bar. You might want to check the Jan. '03 issue of GM High Tech Magazine. I was one of the 11 quickest "bolt-on" cars in the country.

I still can't explain why the car went a 12.82 with a completely stock engine with exhaust manifolds, though.
alright, well when you post something like you did above, people take it for what its worth.

Not trying to be an *** but your reputation does not precede you

Gee, I thought I was a little clearer. I said "completely stock ENGINE with exhaust manifolds"...I didn't say the rest of the car was stock

As far as the original post question goes...I can't find anymore info about that number casting. If lloyd (Nighttrain66) doesn't know about them, this could be a tough one.
I wasn't really aware that there was that much difference between any of the aluminum LT1 castings

Well actually, stock block or internals would be more misleading...LOL I couldn't possibly list everything that was stock, because it ALL was... Block, pistons, rods, crank, heads, cam, rockers, t-body, injectors, FPR. Hell, I still had water flowing through the stock t-body...LOL
