LT1 head quest... need info
You must be talking about some older casting numbers. Really in the LT1 Tech section here we only deal with LT1 and LT4 heads since our reverse flow heads are not really compatable with older blocks generation I blocks. You might try asking the guys over in the Classic Tech section and give as many details as you can. IE what you think it may have come on, what's desirable about it etc. Maybe that will jog someones memory over there.
I read an article in GMHTP a few years ago about SBC headflow comparisons. One of the heads was what they refered to as an "LT1" head that had a casting number with the "372" I may be mistaken but I thought I read it as a 4th gen LT1 head.

Still trying to find the specific year...Here's flow data on that head, though.

I have seen lots of 374 castings but not any 372's.
Could be a tyo or a rare head, not sure.
FWIW, the 374's do seem to have a lil more meat at the pushrod pinch and if it is a good and centered casting (no core shift), the push rod walls can be opened up pretty good.

He must've got them in pretty good condition because they ended up flowing 271 CFM @ .550" when he was done with them.

The divider between two ports on one side of the intake looked smooshed!
