which lt1 head gasket??
putting P&P stockers back on and would like to raise the compression a tiny bit. what gaskets should i get? if anyone has a link to there thickness it would be great. thanks in advance.

ya the impy is an impalla ss for short. you can use the GM gasket made for the impy with no problem. the stock gasket is 39 when the impy's is 29. it will increase compression from 10-4 to 10-5 only. not much but why not do it with the heads off

thanks for the impalla ss tip. how about going with a copper gasket?? would that be thinner and give me another tenth on the static cr? i am guessing this is one place NOT to use something from a tube??

Aren't the Impalla heads cast iron? And if so how do the Impalla gaskets hold up to the different metal expansion rates of Aluminum on one side of the gasket and cast iron on the other. Wouldn't the different expansion rates of aluminum and iron cause unwanted friction of the gaskets.
Just wondering.

Is the benefit of incr. compression from Impy gaskets on a NA 380rwhp car worth the above risk (if there is one)???

So to answer your question, yes it is worth it IMHO.
