LT1 haters

Im so sick of everyone hating on LT1's anymore exspecially in 99-04 mustangs they can sit there and talk **** but wont line them up.. Everyone says the lt1 isn't anything anymore.. well i got news for everyone if you wanna look at it the lt1 can run with a brand new mustang .. i know its funny thinking about it they are rated at 14 seconds like the lt1.. and both have been known to get some 13.7-13.9 runs.. I mean is anyone else in agreement with me here ?

Hey man I stand by my LT1, my 97 when it was bone stock has 330tq, enough to pull any 4.6L Mustang on the street. People do talk trash about the LT1's but I think theyre good running motors, Its mainly the optispark that divides the crowd I think. Anyways, you would think the 04 GT's with all their new technology could put something more than 300hp in their stang. Ill take a built LT1 over a built 4.6L anyday.

God I know man, I've dealt with this crap for years. It's one thing taking crap from from the Mustang people, but then I usually get crap from the wonderful people in the LS1 world too. Those people or sometimes bigger jerks than the stangers. It's something we just have to deal with though, but seriously, I wonder why JUST the LT1 takes so much crap. Like why not the L98 *not meant to offend 3rd Gen people*.

But ya know what, I'm going to stick to my guns, and keep building up my LT1. I've looked threw GM hightech at peoples times with LS1's, some of them really aren't that fare off from a bunch of LT1's. Unless they have twin turbo systems or nitro or a super charger lol.

my friend has a 94 firebird and he converted it to coil packs.. after he did this he raced stock ls1 vs his lt1 with the coil packs and exhaust.. and beat him.. im about to do the coil packs on my car it really wakes up the lt1 motor and does away with the issue with the opti's ..

I just did that last season. I installed the LTCC system from Bob Baily. It works great! I noticed a smoother idle, more responsive throttle, and it feels like there is some more pick up at higher speeds. Great investment, in my opinion. Takes about a day or two days to install if you want to make it pretty lol.

yeah thats the one thing i dont like with the lt1s the idle is real rough.. atleast mine is .. but yeah he got some decent power and the more mods you have obviously will get more power being able to create more spark..

Look into man, just do a search and ALLOT will come up. I think the two options are the Delteq and the LTCC. But I think the Delteq might have gone out of business or something. Check it out, good luck

ive caught a few gt's on the street, everything ranging from a fox body to the new body style and taken all of them down except for 2. one was a new mustang with the roush kit and the other was a pretty well modded 5.0. i too seem to get more hate from the LS1 guys.

There will always be hate, especially from Mustang owners. Clearly it is localized around the frustration that their car is far inferior from a performance standpoint.
