anyone know of a good place to send an lt1 wiring harness for modification and ecm tune for a hot rod project. i would attempt it myself if i had some pretty good directions

don,

you are asking for 2 totally different things. PCM (ecm) programming is done very easily but the people that can do that don't fool with the actual harness.

I give you a bump because I want to know the harness answer myself. The programming I have down already as I do it myself.

let him know what you are doing with the car and he should be able to help you out with the harness i think you have to send him a harness tho idk you could call and ask it is a start

and as for the tune you could go with a mail order from madz28 in the supporting venders

This item is for a new harness, not a reconfigured one. I paid $ 1100.00 through fuel injection specialitys for a reconfigured one with tune.

 

Speartech.com can modify your existing harness but I don't know if they tune.

 

the harness is there to tell the computer what the engine is doing so it can control fuel injector "squirt time" and ignition timing for max power , mileage and low emissions and the computer is programmed to detect tinkering. It can store this data and report it . I suggest buying an extra computer and send it to a tune shop . Besides it can crash and die so a spare is good to have.
