LT1 going into '57, need help
I have a '97 camaro LT1 that I'm putting into my '57 chev and I have a few questions. I am very familiar with regular chev small blocks, but not the peculiarities of the LT1
I have a Howell wiring harness and computer, and think that will be the easiest way to go, but it's still pretty complicated.
Questions:
there are two large ports out of the waterpump. Which is the inlet and which is the outlet. Can I simply plumb the inlet to the bottom of the regular radiator and the outlet to the top? like a regular motor? Where do I plumb the steam port?
There are 3 heater hose size ports on the waterpump, which are the heater inlet and outlet ports and what is the remaining one for?
There is an open port in the back of the intake manifold on the right side next to what appears to be a vacuum sensor canistor. I think it's pipe threaded, but it's also got two mounting studs, one on either side to bolt something up to. What am I missing here?
Anybody done this?
thanks very much.

There are heater and radiator hose diagrams on my Tech Page. The outlet on the lower driver's side of the pump can be capped off (unless you have a facory oil cooler). There is just a bypass hose on it when there is no oiil cooler. It's not really needed.
The water neck is the inlet from the radiator.
