LT1 Fuel Pressure

I took my fuel pressure with a gauge. It is 39 PSI after pressurizing, 40 PSI at Idle, and between 40 and 47 or so when the throttle is applied. There is no bleed off when I shut the engine off.

Is anything wrong or is this about normal?

Thx in advance for your replies.

Re: LT1 Fuel Pressure

I thought my GM Manual said that the pressure is supposed to go down a little with the engine started compared to the key on pressure?

Is this not important?

With the engine running and the vacuum line connected it should be 39. When ya pull the line off with the engine running it should be 41-47 all of this done at idle.
Tape the guage to the windshield and run the p*** out of it and the pressure shouldn't fall lower than idle with the vacuum line off.(41-47)
That is the checking procedure.
