LT1 extreme duty vs. LT4 timing chain sets
Re: LT1 extreme duty vs. LT4 timing chain sets
I notice a few peeps who go ED and reuse their water pump drive, have the water pump gear fail, alot of it is probably because of 2 things, the wear pattern, and install, if you don't use a special tool to install the water pump drive after removing it, it will have slack and be slightly untrue in the whole while installed, thus if you want piece of mind, just go double roller cloyes, if you have the tools and know how to make sure the NEW water pump gear is installed right, go cloyes.

I'm not sure how it could be untrue since the race is pretty thick.
