LT1 engine swap

hey all, i just got a 1980 camaro with a blown 305, its complete junk, i was thinking and reading around at school today in the LT1 forced induction forum and i thought it would be a cool idea to put one in my camaro, how would this work out? would it be hard? what all do i need? and what is the best yeat LT1? any help is appreciated! im going to rebuild the engine and put one of the LT1 supercharger kits on it

IMO a '95 would be the best year to get. It should drop right in. Make sure you have the PCM and wiring harness that goes with it.

Shane...If you are going to all the trouble to do a swap it might make more sense to do a LS1 instead. Just a thought.

i would put an LS1 in but thats ALOT of money and all the parts for it are expensive, and im not a huge fan of the LS series, they are great engines and powerful, but not for me, LTs are still cool anyways right? and they make great power even stock
