LT1 dampner

Hey guys, is the dampner (pulley thing) the same on impala LT1s and Camaro LT1s? Im about to have my rotating assembly balanced. Should i even need to dampner? Or should i have the front of the motor internally balanced and the back of the botor balanced with the flywheel. I dunno. My engine guy wants both dampner and flywheel, but i have been reading all kinds of different stuff on the boards. Its stock crank/rods, not an aftermarket setup.

The CorvetteForum site was down frequently yesterday and the link above didn't work.

I think it is available now.
