LT1 coil crisis.....
LT1 coil crisis.....
Okay my engine was stumbling bad from 5K-6KRPM a few weeks ago. I replaced the one year old Autozone coil with a warranty replacement Autozone coil. The stumble was completely gone, absolutely no trace.
Today I noticed a bit of the same stumble returning but not quite as obvious as the first time. Again this new Autozone coil is maybe two weeks old.
Can someone confirm that this Autozone coil I am using is total crap and is crapping out at high RPM? I assume it is OEM spec, does this sound valid?
Is the MSD blaster coil a good replacement?

Just curious.
The summit coils is 48,000V
The MSD coil is 40,000V
It seems to me statistically the MSD is a better coil.
Am I off here?

So you are thinking that this Autozone coil is an inferior product that is not on par with OEM or MSD?
Can anyone say with absolut certainty that this is the case?
Re: LT1 coil crisis.....
buying any electrical parts from autozone is a bad idea. Reason being the manufacturers dont warrenty any of the products it is warrentied through autozone themselves and therefore they are not as likely to get the best of parts if you understand what im saying. BASICALLY AUTOZONE COIL IS CRAP.
