LT1 Cam

Ok... just doing some research, and i know this kind of question has been beat to death, but, as some have read, i bought a bored and cleaned lt1 block, .30 or .40 over, not sure yet. but what cam would be best, i want my car to be loud, which is already is with true duals, and i plan on putting Pacesetter longtubes on too... but anyways, besides the point. how many people would say the cc503 is a good cam for me. Its gonna be mainly a street car, maybe to the track once or twice a month. I can get this cam for about $270. so im just debating on if this is the one i should go with.

if its an automatic i wouldnt go any bigger than a 503 for a daily driver. you can get away with a 306 or an 847 on an M6, but it wont be friendly.

The CC503 is a good cam for a street driven vehicle and will make some good power. BTW, is that cam 270 shipped to your door, or is that the sticker price for the cam itself. You can save a few bucks if you check out some of the supporting vendors as they are listed around 245ish, maybe less depending who you shop with.

You can find em cheaper. And yes, if you plan on keeping your heads stock for a long time then the 503 is perfect.

lol. well yea. but then again. remember. i have no heads on this block. lol. im building from Scratch... but if i can get a pair of regular lt1 heads from a local seller or somethin for cheap and this cam will go with it. then by all means. no need for good heads now. ill wait til i sell off the parts from my current lt1 and i have a lil bit more money for that
