LT1 A/C Problem Codes
Just two days ago, my A/C stopped working. It blows hot air but the compressor does not engage. Had an electrician check it. Filled freon. The connection was good from the **** swtich at the dash to the PCM. Form the PCM to the Compressor, it is also okay.
He made a direct wire from the dash **** to the compressor using a relay and it did start. He thinks it is the PCM.
Today, I got an EZ-Link Scanner GM OBD-I and made a scan. Here is what I got:
History Codes:
68 A/C Relay Shorted
69 A/C Relay Open (it disapeared later)
70 A/C Clutch Relay Fault.
Current Codes:
52 Engine Oil Temp Sensor Low.
Can anyone explain what is the problem and how to clear these codes.
I am thinking to remove the wire connection that the electrician did and do I scan again to see if some clears.
One last thing, since my Z has the PCM prgramming, I was afraid to take it to the dealer and get the programming screwed by their devises. Is that an issue.
