ok, were looking at rebuilding our 85k mile lt1. right now were decided on either a 396 or 401. other than that were looking to attain 600hp all engine. money is pretty much limitless. ive searched for 600+hp lt1 builds to see what they were using for parts but i cant find very many. im looking to go with a proven combo not just take these and this and hope it makes the horsepower we want. im curious as to if anyone can provide me with such a build or point me in the right direction as how to go about obtaining this. thnx a bunch!

 

Look up mindgame, he has a very killer set-up, and he's only using the 3.75 stroke. I would go with the 383 to keep block strength and parts availablity high.

Heads are where the money needs to be spent. (with a cam to move the air the heads flow)
