LT1 bolt ons

Ok, im sorry, i know this has been done a million times before but i gotta ask your advice. I have a 1994 z28 a4 with 3.23 gears and the following mods: BBK headers, y pipe, no cat, flow master american thunder cat back, race preped tranny, brand x cheapie 2800 stall converter, asam cold air induction, msd coil, taylor over the valve cover wires, new plugs, and thats about it. My question is what to do next? My best time so far is a 13.70 @ 102 with a 1.98 60ft. any help would be appreciated. Thankyou in advanced. Prorac1

A cutout works good, But I would say maybe 3.73s or 4.10s for the rear IMO.

On an A4? The first gear ratio is 3.06. It's not to steep, but trust me you will feel the gears. I have an a4, so I went with 3.73s (no track times yet) but the SOTP feeling sure is there. I love them, and definatly recommend them. You should have a shop do it (about $200 for install) because doing it yourself is a b*tch, trust me.

I agree. I read a post the otehr day showing some impressive numbers.

OR, you can save up and do the LT4 hot cam.

I also agree with the cut out if you have a flow master, that, or get a better flowing cat back. Flowmaster is very restricting. Do a search on "flowmaster sucks", and you will find the post where the guy felt a diference in power when his muffler blew a hole. That should explain enough on its restriction.

You might get a 13.5 with that cut out.

Edit:
BTW, love the sig

Thanks for the advice guys. I think ill go with 3.73 gears to keep some milage and to keep freeway revs down a little. Where is the preferred placement for a cutout. i have a test pipe in place of the converter. should i put it there or just before the axel to keep a little back pressure? am also considering 1.6 rockers and new springs and pushrods. any suggestions on springs? again thanks for the help.
