Is the LT1 1pc or 2pc rear main seal??

I have a 96 and I think LT1's are 1pc if im not mistaking. Thanks Also is a nodular iron any good? Steel is better right?

Yea, one piece. And if one of the rear seal housing bolts works it's way loose and starts getting beat around by the flywheel it sounds like your motor is blowing up
