shouldnt need 30lb injectors for a stocker.

as far as highway patrol cars go,at most they get additional coolers,oil/ps etc. the other issue is iron heads, all caprices/impala's AFAIK have iron heads, whereas Vette/Fbody has alum.

I have talked to the guy that modifies the Oregon State police Camaros when he was vinning my Camaro, and he told me that all they do is put an aluminum driveshaft in them and do some air intake modifications. These were LT1's tho.

Talk to Ion at Madz28.com about tuning your computer, he does a great job for a great price. He might be closed until after christmas. If the motor came out of a car with an automatic, you need to make some changes. If you change the cam, you will probably need to make some adjustments to get it to idle right and make the power it should. Ion did all of this for me and I think it cost about $75 with free updates if I make more changes.

First, find out what kind of car the engine came out of. Makes a difference as to what the path to more power is. If it was out of a 94-97 F-body or Corvette, the injectors are nominal 24#/HR (24.9 in the PCM tables). You will be OK with the stock injectors up to about 400-425flywheelHP. Beyond that get 30's.

You also might want to rethink where you posted this question.... "N2O Tech" doesn't seem to be the correct place. Perhaps it should be on "LT1 Tech"???
