long tubes, 3.73s with or nittos, tc

What should I get from those 3?

I have 700 to spend... I need to get the cheapest one for the best bang for the buck :P

I want LTs, but they will be the most expensive... or gears for some nice acceleration, plus nittos to come along with it so i can actually get traction...
or a used tc and nittos... I'll do the installation if i get LT or tc

if i get LTs, say like 500 for them, and 200 for the ypipe... and o2 extensions too...

gears will be like 200 for the gear, and 150 install, and i can have some left over for the nittos...

or keep the stock manifolds, and 3.23s, and get a tc and some nittos for a nice launch :P (i'll be getting 3000)

Looks like LT's will come later since they cost helluva alot, I dont really want the tc honestly, cuz i do a bit of highway racing, and races from a roll.... 3.73s look the best bet right now...

I really want LTs tho maybe i should just get uncoated?

Ditto. And get them coated.

That's about all the coating is good for, along with looks. My longtubes are nickel coated...they get hot as hell, but they haven't roasted anything under the hood since I've had them (which has been almost a year now). The nickel coating is just on there for rust protection. I know a couple people that have been running uncoated longtubes for a couple of years...they look like crap, but they still work fine.

I got my longtubes from Jegs for around $430 or so...my mechanic's friend charged me $100 to nickel coat them. Not a bad deal at all, in my opinion. Remember that you'll need to buy a y-pipe or have one built if you get longtubes. You'll also need a set of O2 extenders (and possibly O2 simulators for the back two if your car is OBDII).

But back to your original question...if I were you, I'd get gears first. I felt more change in the "butt dyno" with gears than I did with my longtubes. Also, when they have your rear end opened up, ask them if they can weld around the axle tubes where they meet up with the housing...that will give it a little more strength and allow it to last a bit longer.
