LT and GMMG install
LT and GMMG install
Hey guys I have a 95 Trans am M6 that a buddy and I are about to install pacesetter LTs w/ Y pipe on. Now what im wondering is I am also planning on getting a GMMG chambered catback here soon and was wondering what issues I will have bolting it up to the Y pipe??? Any cutting or anything? Should I just have an exhaust shop do the work? I did a search but couldn't really find anything specific to what im concerned about and I didn't figure starting a new thread would hurt even if there are other topics similar, just adds to the plethora for others that might have this issue come up.

Re: LT and GMMG install
What you will do it cut and clamp (or weld) the I-pipe you have somewhere in the driveshaft tunnel to the Y-pipe. I just clamped mine and added some exhaust sealant from NAPA. Then you'll do the same to the GMMG when it gets there. I asked shops what they would charge, and it was too much, I did it myself with friends. Sawzall is all you need.
