LT-1 swap

My cousin has been driving his 94 V6 Camaro for about a year now and he wants to step up to a Z28. I told him to just do an engine swap, so he saves on insurance, as well as costs of buying a new car. What will be needed to complete this swap? I told him that his best bet would have to find a LT-1 car that has been rear ended pretty bad and just buy it for a parts car and just swap everything over. Any other ideas, or things that could even more persuade him to doing this swap would be greatly appreciated.

You'll probably need to replace the tranny, PCM, wiring harness, all the engine accessories (alternator, waterpump, P/S), air intake ducting, sensors (MAF, MAP, O2's), exhaust system. I'm sure somebody on the board has done it. You might price out a used Z28...might be cheaper!
