You wont notice any difference, but they're good high revving lifters.

Right Dangalla?

You can't compensate for geometry by making rocker nut adjustments.

maybe i am thinking about this wrong but would'nt a little less pre-load on the lifter equate to a slightly longer pushrod. i guess i should have explaned it better.

and pwr-trip your pretty much right but i am really not sure as to weather or not it is a direct replacement, they look different.

The stock LS7's are not a direct replacement. The cup depth is considerably different and you will need to measure and get the correct pushrods.

The stock LS7 lifter ARE a direct replacement.

They are in my car, and everything checks out perfect, that's all the conformation I need.

Not sure the exact difference between the Caddy LS7 and the regular LS7 but the cup the pushrod sits in, in my Caddy LS7's was considerably shallower then my stockers. Thus requiring a shorter pushrod

I thought it was Caddy or LS7 - not Caddy LS7.

The cup depths are different. I compared them when I installed them, there is about a 0.1" difference in the cup depth.

If you don't belive me:

To the OP; Get the stock LS7 lifters when you install them check your pushrod legnth and then order the correct ones. You will need to do that anyway if you are going to upgrade to better rockers too.

Maybe so, but a GM Master Tech is the one who installed them for me and everything is perfect.

that does not mean anything, unless your geometry was checked your giving nothing but miss-information in this thread. maybe you got lucky. i did not install just the lifters so i did not measure for just them, but they looked really different and i can only assume that they are different.

i have had them both in my hand, stock and ls7, and they look nothing alike in the cup area. without someone measuring and installing only the lifters no one here can be sure, and speculation in only going to end up with someone breaking there motor because joe schmo had them installed by a master tech so they must be fine.

The cadillac racing lifters and the LS7 lifters are not the same. And they aren't used in a destroked LS7. The cadillac racing lifters are the ones cadillac uses in their LeMans cars, and the LS7 lifters are the ones that GM came out with for the LS7. The older style LS1 lifters are no longer available, the new LS7 part number supersedes the others.
