will a ls1 lid fit under a 96-97 ws6 hood?

 

You have a LT1 with a WS6 hood but want to know if you can do an LS1 lid? The LT1 WS6 intake is the best you can get. Especially if you cut the hood baffles out and remove the ribbing on the airbox and slap a KN in there.

As for air flow, you are sucking in dirtier warmer air through the radiator area with a lid, whereas the LT1 style you are getting the air shot straight into the motor.

Stick with the LT1 style.

did you have to modify your LT1 ram air hood to make the LS1 lid fit?

 

no it's not my car but he did no mods for the lid assembly to fit.with the acception of the underside of the Ls1 shroud that needs to be shaved down a bit.
