LS1 Moser 12bolt in an LT1

I'm looking to buy a Moser 12 bolt with 3:73's and all the good stuff that a local guy is selling for a good price but it's out of his 98 Z. His car has 4 channel ABS and TCS and mine is 3 Channel ABS only. I'm not really worried about losing my ABS, since it's not really a daily driver anymore anyway. Aside from the ABS not working would there be any other problem with me installing this rear in my car? He said he thought the parking brake assembly and the backing plates would be different, neither of those were included with it. If I got the right backing plates for that rear could I still use my rear brakes on them or would I have to use 98 and up brakes? Thanks.

(I know there is a drivetrain section, I posted this there last week and still havn't gotten a response)

You take all your parts off of your old axle, and transfer them to the new axle. Pull the cover plate off, and tap your axles inward to pull the C-clips out. Remove axles, and disassemble the brackets and calibers from your old axle. Everything should bolt right up on the new axle. Yes you will lose your ABS, but I've been driving around with a Ford 9 inch, with a Detroit locker for the last 3 years without it. Remember in the o;d days when the driver had to drive the car, and not relie upon ABS? You will love being able to launch the car at 6 grand, without having to worry about blowing the rear end.

Oh by the way, you'll have to get a different universal to mate to the stock drive shaft, and the new differential. It number is 1350, any driveshaft shop will know what it is.

I thought it should work but I wasnt sure, thanks for the feedback. I've had plenty of cars without ABS in the past so I do remember what thats like, I don't drive this in rain or snow at all anymore so I'm not to concerned about it. I do look forward to doing some harder clutch drops off the line with it, don't know if I'll go for 6k but we'll see Thanks again.
