I am looking at getting a set of Z06 28 lb injectors to replace the 100k mile stockers. What would be some problems I might run into usinf the 60ish psi ls1 injecctors vs. the 43 psi LT1 injectors?

 

The injectors are basically the same flow wise once you take the pressure difference into account. Consittering the cost of having your PCM reprogramed for 28lb injectors (if you raise the fuel pressure), I would just buy a set of stock replacements. I'm also not sure if there woiuld be any problems with using the LS1 injectors at the lower 43psi the LT1 uses.

Aren't the LS1 injectors longer? Can you bolt down the fuel rail properly?

 

Get the "cough", Ford injectors. They're cheaper and compatible.

 

Thanks for the replies. I can pick up these injectors for $50. Also I use tunercat and can make necessary adjustments. It is a good point about length etc. Looks like I'll be looking at some SVO's

 

I am using some injectors that were 32lbs on a LS1 which is roughly 28lbs at LT1 43.5 pressure, they were a little shorter actually. There were also maxed out with my heads cam setup. I would agree with the others just consider some SVOs though I would say consider the 36lbs, 30s would get the job done but the 36 will leave more room for growth.
