LS1 fuel injectors

I just got some LS1 fuel injectors. Do I need a bigger fuel pump or adjustable fuel pressure regulator? Will stock be fine? What about computer tune?

Thanx in advance

i'm pretty sure the ls1's are 29lb hour and it would be beneficial for a computer tune since the computer will still think you have 24lb hour

But the LS1 injectors run at 58psi. It really isn't clear at what pressure the LS1 injectors are flow rated. I have the LS1/LS6 performance handbook, and it states that the LS1 injectors are flow rated at 58psi, which would make a 28# LS1 injector just about the same size as an LT1 (43.5psi) 24# injector.

But I **thought** I had seen SLP and Racetronix selling the takeoff LS1 injectors and claiming the stated flow rate was actually measured at the lower fuel pressure.

You need to find the correct info before you proceed.

I looked at Racetronix, they state that their 28# at 43.5 psi, also no ECM changes needed. Sounds good to me.

Everyone seems to bulk LS1 injectors into one part. There are THREE injector sizes / part numbers used in the LS1 motors!!!

The Chris Endres book lists these:

PN 12554271 - 1997/98 LS1 - 24.7#/HR@43.5psi; 28.5#/HR@58psi

PN 12555894 - 1999-2001 LS1 - 22.3#/HR@43.5psi; 26.3#/HR@58psi

PN 12561462 - 2001-2003 LS1/LS6 - 24.7#/HR@43.5psi; 28.5#/HR@58psi.

Appears the Racetronix it saying the Endres book is incorrect as to the flow rating pressures, so who knows is the PN's are correct.

Just curious... why do you feel you need larger injectors? ....other than the fact one car is "fast" and one car is "real fast".....

Makes you wonder who to trust? I got the injectors for next to nothing, their goin on the black one. It runs 12.40's all day long, jus cam and bolt ons, and BFG dr's (that I would'nt recommend to anyone) fixin to do LT4 heads w/minor port work as well as the manifold. I heard that the 96 Lt4 came w/ the 28# yes? no?

Our flow bench has not lied to us yet... it tells some good stories though.
