LS1 28 lb injectors on an LT1
I saw some people here mention they are using 28lb LS1 injectors on their LT1, what's the deal with this? Can these injectors be used on the LT1 frame rail without any modification and just plug into our injector wiring harness? I wanted to upgrade my stock 24lb ones and wasnt sure if these would work. I saw this link on another board where a company is selling them for $60, I assume they are new, since they don't say they are used. Thanks.
Yeah they should work just fine, the only difference I know of between modern injectors is whether they're high/low impedance.
They'd certainly help on an NA car getting close to the limits of stock injectors.
You may need a tune after that, though, I don't know how well the ecm would respond to the higher flowing injectors...

lt1 injectors are rated at a different psi than the ls1 injectors. i dont remember exactly what they are rated at but i know that it is different and if i remember right i think that swapping for 28 pound ls1 injector wouldnt really help at all.
Red is right, I don't remember the exact number either but the LS1's are rated at a higher pressure, so they are advertised at 28lb but at stock LT1 pressure they'd be less, barely better than stockers.
Hmm, interesting. I also did a search and found out that the LS1 runs at 58lbs of fuel pressure and most people agree that there would be no performance benefit from running LS! injectors on an LT1 with the lower pressure of around 43lbs. I think I'll just stick with my stockers for now. Thanks guys.
