Just a quick update, I checked 2 cylinders on the d/s (easy access), and I got 190-200 out of both of them. I'm going to do the other 6 when I get home.

Time to go renew tabs. I think I'm gonna see good compression throughout.

Gotta be the GD intake leaking.

focusing on this popping deal. have you made absolutely sure your plug wires are all on the right position? backfiring out of the exhaust pretty constantly can be caused by a plug wire foul up.

i still dont see how an intake leaking in the valley would not pull oil into the cylinder, and with him doing a comp test he should see evidence of oil fouling on the plugs. also an intake leaking would all but disapear if you could ease it into higher rpms and then give it wot or close to it.
