Angry low rpm hesitation

are my fuel injectors dirty? maybe i should try pouring some of that fuel injector cleaner crap into my gas tank?!?
it's really annoying, if i punch it it's fine, but if i try to cruise at a lower speed, and try to keep it at a certain rpm, it chokes. help!!!

i have the same problem! TTT for ya, i have tried everything except injectors. how many miles are on yours? im beginning to think its caused by the 1" hole in my elbow where the shark nozzle is though, trick flow elbow on the way.... ill let you know if that fixes it

Many things to check. This is a common problem:
EGR
Old Spark Plugs
Fuel Filter

These are the big 3.

try using some SeaFoam in your gas instead of the normal injector cleaner. it is much better i think... a search for SeaFoam will turn up tons of info.

does the problem go away with the cutout closed?

have you though about the opti? doesn't that cause low rpm hessitation??

I've had the same problem on my '96 with 30,000 miles. Plugs are fairly new. I'm leaning toward injector replacement. I've tried the cleaner and it only produced a short period of relief.

here is my story about hesitation

my 94 z 28 would sputter (not really a hesitate) between 1500 and 2000 rpm after the engine got warmed up. I replaced the coil and coil wire with no change. I had the plugs changed on 30000 miles and the chevy dealership put an ordinary ac plug in the car instead of the ac platinum plugs. they ran ok for about 30,000 more miles and then developed this gradual miss. I am ashamed to admit it but I took the car to a chevy dealer because I have limited time to work on the car. They installed new and correct plugs and wires on my car and it fixed my miss. It cost me 300 dollars in labor plus 200 in parts bought at a parts house myself. I am very glad that it is running right, even though it cost me so much.

Not that everyone is the same but I have the same problem and it started after a header install? I wonder if there is a connection with your open cutout ? Maybe something with backpressure and something going bad because I have already replaced the plugs, wires, header gaskets, fuel filter, pcv, egr valve and I even did the seafoam a while ago but not in the tank. My opti was replaced about 25000 miles ago so Im hoping thats not it! The damn code its throwing just says multiple misfire but doesnt say from what cylinders just multiple????

Man I hope someone can figure this thing out!

yeah i hear ya. same problem here. from what i read it could be: plugs, wires, lt1 knock module, opti, o2's, egr, map sensor, tps, coil, injectors, ignition box, or fuel filter. i am hoping it is my o2's. i will be changing them when my sensors come in. i will let you know if i find the problem.
