Low oil pressure???

So Ive had the car over a year now, and just recently instead of being about 50 when i start it, its now just over 40 psi. After warming up, at idle, the oil pressure is below 20, probably close to 15. While driving warmed, its 30-40psi.

I keep reading cars for sale and other peoples cars who idle at 50 psi and im just wondering if my car is messed up somewhere.

Am I wrong about what the oil pressure should be? Anything i can do to boost the pressure up a little more?

My car just turned over 100k miles:
Hooker LT headers, full exhaust, P&P TB, TB bypass, K&N CAI, Granetelli MAF, Airfoil, MSD 6al. coil. and wires, NGK plugs.

I think thats all that ive done to my cars engine. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

The minimum pressure you can have is 6psi for every 1k rpm. As long as your above that don't worry too much. 100k on a motor may just be wear. As long as your not hearing any tapping you should be fine.

Re: Low oil pressure???

I heard 10 psi is what you should have for every 1000 rpm. But yeah, im above 6 all the time so thats good. I dont really hear any tapping except when i lift the hood you can hear a slight tapping, i always thought it was the roller rockers since it got louder when i got closer to the valve covers.
