Low oil light

Low oil light appeared, oil changed 500 miles ago ... no leak apparent underneath car. Oil pressure is really good, in fact maybe a little to high, but its never hit a dry spot or dropped. Could it be in the tuning or do i need a new sensor? This is the first time its came on and it was only idleing. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Dont worry about it. Almost all Lt1 sensors are pieces of crap. You cran replace it or disconect it. Just keep an eye on the oil level.

it also may have just come out of the pan a little, since they are just pressed in. Just make sure it is snug under there. I've seen that one happen before.

For what's it worth, I would replace the sensor. My water level sensor failed and the light stayed on. I disconnected the sensor which cleared the light about a year ago. A new sensor is $50. I developed a slow water leak that I didn't notice until the engine overheated. Now I am rebuilding the engine sooner that I wanted, but ...

I'm having the same problem but it happens only when I start the car for the first time for the day. The light will stay on until I turn the car off, then when I restart the car, its off! wtf I know the oil level is fine, so go-figure.... It just worries me.
