Low coolant light, worried
Hello all, recently my low coolant light has been on. I woudl check the coolant level, it would be halfway down the neck of the resevoir. No biggie, probelm solved.
This was Thirsday, today it came on again, the colant level after being filled up, went down maybe a inch. The light does go off once the ignition is restarted, but comes on again a few seconds later once moving. Tempertaure gauge doesn't move, but it does have me concerned cause the RF cooling system and I have had a history.
Is there a problem or just 180,000 miles plus and a goofy sensor wanting to be known? Thanks

You say it went down an inch since last Thursday? Is it leaking anywhere? Sometimes the coolant light acts up when it gets dirty etc., its a pretty well known issue with these cars. But that doesnt mean ignore the problem, if there is one.

probably a blown sensor. check shoebox's site he has a picture of where the sensor is located and instructions on replacing it. Very common part to fail.
