LM=Deep and Clean.
Riiiiiiiiiiiight, they're freaking more raspy than any exhaust I've ever heard. All they are is loud. You might as well have bought a glasspack IMO. I suggest getting a SLP 2OTL. They sound awesome , and even better with headers.

I have edlebrock headers and the borla with the open plate and hotcam. I am always getting compliments on how it sounds, mostly by people who have no idea about f-bodies.

I have the Loudmouth and AS&M 1.75" headers.

I am in heaven. It sounds amazing
I would not trade it for ANYTHING

edit: I get nothing but good comments on the exhaust also. Everybody loves my exhaust

To put it nicely, screw you (look at my sig if you don't get it).

Whatever you get, get something high quality and stainless steel and avoid the ever-so-popular "out of the dumpster" look/sound everyone else has because they didn't dish out the extra buck. I'd rather not put anything on my car than get a cheap 1/2 azzed part.

The Loudmouth is stainless along with the Borla and GMMG I believe. There are probably a couple others that I missed...

i have a flowmaster catback with a gutted cat and 4 inch slash cut tips and I get all kinds of compliments. flowmaster sounds great, but i'll be switching over to true duals with my new setup. You'll be very happy with the sound of the flowmaster.

This is the best advice that I can give ya:

If you are going to get rid of the stock exhaust anyway, then order a 3" cutout and put it before the i-pipe goes over the axle. They only cost $35 and if you hate it, then just get something different. But I put one on a year ago and haven't capped it since that day. IMO, it sounds sweet as hell and the intimidation factor is awesome. You can make any vette think twice at the light.

Cool

As always, this topic is so subjective. It's all about personal preference and opinion. What somebody loves on their car someone else might hate. Do yourself a favor and try and hear some of these different systems in person. That'll help a ton.

Not sure if I would say the best but for bang for buck/sound...yes. Go to the link in my sig and then click "media" and do a right click and save as to hear what Hooker CB with Hooker LTs sounds like(no cats and cc306).
