loud exhaust what do you guys think

I have stock manifolds but I am looking for a deep loud sounding exhaust. What do you guys suggest that I should get. I want it to have the deep rumble but at the same time I want it loud so you know im coming.

Well u have to get a nice combination of Headers and mufflers and pipes for that, but for basic sound, maybe Borla, or flowmaster..

If you want deep, clean sound, don't get flowlessmaster, they are loud and poppy. Get either a LM or GMMG chambered exhaust. Borla is a waste. If you want more of a classy deep, sound get Corsa.

I agree get a corsa or do like I did, *tried the LM, hated it, daily driver* swapped out for SLP Dual/Dual *used* got it for $200. They sound great, and once i add headers it'll sound even better. I've heard LM's with headers.

If you have a bunch of money to spend, then I would definately get the corsa...you can't go wrong with it. If you are on some what of a budget then I would go with the Loudmouths by SLP...those are pretty loud and are a good deal for stainless. Then if you are really on a budget <100 then I guess I flowmaster...but if you want it to sound good I would suggest some headers and a cat-back...plus you will be pleased with the performance increase...Has anyone heard the Universal BASSANI XHAUST yet. I saw they came out with some new universal mufflers. I am trying to get them to send me some mpegs or avis on the product...just wondering

slponline.com? You can check them out there, but someone on the board will know of a cheaper place...

if you know a good exhaust man, he might be able to make you a custom loudmouth for less than 300.00. just have him run 3" stainless steel pipe all the way back and split it over the rear axle where you can run two 2.5" tailpipes into tips of your choice. then buy a dynomax bullet muffler (35.00) and have it welded on the 3" I-pipe about halfway to the rear axle. then you turn the key and drive home with your own "dynomouth"

p.s. kill the cat too!!

How bad could the loud mouth be if you left your cat and stock manifolds... Should be better than a cutout.

stock cat/manifolds the LM sounds great, do not gut your cat though. You're running open manifolds - but just exiting at the rear of your car. Im sure you can imaging how loud that is.

I would recommend listening to a Loudmouth in person before purchasing it. IMO it sound like a car with glasspacks.

I wonder why the Hooker Cat-back hasn't been mentioned yet !
It's the best sounding exhaust system !

See I was looking for a nascar race car type sound... I was also not planning headers or anything for a few more years... I have a cai, now I want a real free flowing cat back or cutout and then just work on suspension and brakes... Make it handle like it is on rails and then gears then headers....

Where are you looking for this sound to come in? Throughout the rev range, or just when you're on it? The Corsa has a nice idle and sounds like the demons of hell have been unleashed at 3k + (this is why I keep getting pulled over - they hear me coming).

My experience with it has been somewhat poppy - but that's probably coming from upstream in my exhaust. I had a Flowmaster - for the money it's not bad. Just look to replace it in a couple of years if it sees even a hint of road salt.
