Re: loss of power between 60 and 80 kmph

I'm having a very similar problem. Couple of weeks ago I start feeling a power loss, the car seems to hesitate when I accelerate from a standing position. I cleaned my air filter & checked for a spark under the hood in case one of the wires was burnt (although its tough to get a good look) and didn't fix or find anything. I think I'm going to redo the Hypertech 3 programming. Post back when you figure out your problem.

Also check fuel filter and coil....and scan the car for knock retard when those problems are happening that is a possibility too if you have a miss and it is causing knock, I had knock AFTER plugs, wires, opti, and fuel filer and an LT4KM helped it alot. Good luck

Re: loss of power between 60 and 80 kmph

I installed new plugs (all but one) the other day, that corrected the hesitation & rough idle. Then I put in a new PCV valve & that seemed to help restore the car to normal power levels. I'm going to put in a new fuel filter this weekend.

I have to move the header to get the first plug on the passenger side in can anyone tell me if I should pick up a new gasket before I start?

I say change the spark plugs and fuel filter. Then see where your at. Mine would "break up" at higher rpm. Replacing the opti fixed that for me.
