loss of gears in 4l60e and error codes help!
Hi,
so i just got finished (or so i thought) with my engine/tranny swap project. its a 96 lt1 with 96 4l60e, dropped in an 84 jaguar xj6. however, i'm not getting any power to the wheels. when i mash on the gas, i creep a tiny bit forward. before, i could get the car to go in reverse perfectly, but that is no longer the case.
i ran diagnostics on the car, and came up with the following two codes:
0100 MAF Insufficient Activity
1860 PWM TCC Solenoid electrical
i'm not sure what the MAF insufficient activity means -- i keep finding the same trouble code online, but i'm not sure what that entails. the o2 sensors are hooked up to the harness -- however since i can't move from my current spot, i don't have a full exhaust system set up.
the 1860 code is also perplexing -- the TCC should only be engaged when moving from 4th to OD, correct?
I don't know what else i can do. i checked and changed the transmission fluid/filter (the fluid was red, no metal in the pan or anything like that). As far as i know, the transmission was good when i purchased the engine/tranny together.
does anyone know what i can/should do from here?
any help would be much appreciated...
thanks!!!!
