Looks like I'm pulling the motor...
Driving around today, and I was noticing a slight tick... Had a buddy with me and he heard it to. It sounded like a rocker arm was lose, so we were gonna tighten it up a little later...
Turn on to U.S. 1792 from 436 get on it to not even half throttel(sp?) and all the sudden it sounded like the nut on the rocker cam all the way off and the rocker slipped sideways...
Shut her down and coast in to a parking lot. Pull the valve cover and what do we see, nothing... Everything looks perfect. Started her up with the valve cover off, and everything was moving the way it should be...
So it's not a bent push-rod, not a lose/fallen off rocker... What do you think it could be? Maybe rings?
I can't really describe the sound... You can hear something like air passing through the cylender as the pistons move up and down... Kinda sounds like a huge exhaust leak.

You're lucky! I wish that was the cause of my noise
