Gm block bored, honed, decked and align honed. New cam bearings. Performance roller cam 222/234 @.050. .501 lift 114 lobe center. Matching roller lifters & springs. Reground crank with 3.48" stroke. Resized rods, arp rod bolts. Crank polished less than 12ra finish. Performance pistons moly rings. 10 to 1 compression. Match weight balanced rotating assembly. Melling timing set, high volume oil pump. New gasket set pushrods and stamped rockers(add 350.00 for aluminum rr's. Arp head bolts, 2.02/1.60 valves 130 lb springs. 3 angle seats bronze guides, positive seals. Painted black gm aluminum heads. Stage 2 porting (add 695.00) $3099 plus core and shipping. I think this is the route I wanna go its rated at. 370 hp as a base model. With all the upgrades its rated at 410hp. Seems expensive too add 40 hp for 1600 dollars. Has anyone purchased this motor before? And would all of my boltons make more power than how this engine was dynoe'd. 3100 for a reman gm crate seems pretty reasonable considering there's been alot of complaints about marshel and spartan engines
Seems 50/50 with jasper but they want 4500 for a reman 383 rated at 400 hp. Any tips would be appreciated. Should I avoid the stage 2 porting and have the heads done elsewhere? Can u make good power on this cam? Im a noob to all this. I know I was gonna have a 355 built but im sure I can get this engine upgraded. Its from
precisionengines. Also would this engine be suitable for low amounts of boost if I had the
heads worked? I wanna go with the sts rear mount system running 7psi.

Is this an LT1 engine or a SBC? If it's an LT1, there are several issues. You do not need a high volume oil pump - they can often cause more problems with zero benefit. The compression is also half a point lower than stock, so that's not doing you any favors in the HP department, not to mention the obvious use of cheap budget components.
IMO, this is a case where you get what you pay for. No doubt there are many shortcuts taken for such a budget motor. No way in hell would I consider running that motor, not to mention with 7psi of boost.

It is a lt1 motor. Thank you for the info appreciated
