I dont know about you, but I'm not all about spending $1200 on a cam swap when half would work fine for this guy. Spend the other 600 on something else.

okay, here is the setup I'm thinking. ill buy the hot cam, possibly used from a member here or ls1tech, get some good springs like 918 beehives so If I decide to change out the cam some day I will not have to worry about the valve train. I'm thinking about the comp pro mags for roller rockers. the rest of the cash ill get the retainers and locks along with the timing chain and gasketes ect. oh and tq conv.
feel free to critique it

Here is how I would do it, being a guy who ran 40,000 miles on "crappy" Hotcam springs.

Hotcam Kit:
Hotcam Camshaft
Roller Rockers
LT4 Springs

$599.XX

Comp Hardened pushrods +/- $30
Stock Timing Set +/- $40

Done.

I have never and will never run beehive springs on anything I own. The only other option I would entertain would be buying the Hotcam seperate for $200, then the Self Aligning Pro Mags $250, LT4 Springs $50, and you've still got the Hotcam with rockers that can handle bigger cams later.
