Hotcam kit is a nice cam, proven HP and very streetable. Another one you might consider is the crane 210/224 or the XE224/230. Try doing a few searches on the topic, literally hundreds of threads discussing it in detail im sure.

I went with the 224/230, which can pass emissions if ground on 114 LSA. Make sure you dont mess up where i did tho, look for a cam that makes the most AVERAGE power, peak power only does you good for those few seconds before you shift.

I think this summer i am going to go with a custom cam and have my heads worked. BEWARE!!! Once you start doing mods like this its very hard to stop

I'd say the hot cam or a CC305. The 305 is nice for a driver and works pretty well with stock heads. I know the hot cam can be made to pass emissions and I'm pretty sure the 305 can as well, although it will require a really good tune. Neither of those cams has a real lopey idle, but you can tell that the motor isn't stock anymore.

its just lopey enough to tell its not stock, but idles fine with the idle reprogrammed to 900 RPMs.

They will both have a slight lope to them. They both make more power than the Hotcam. The 224/230 will make the most power out of those three and all of them are a good choice, it just depends on how much horsepower you wanna squeak out of it.

A good place to look for them is Combination Motorsports, they have awesome prices and are great guys to deal with.

XE224/230 is made by Comp Cams. You can get it at Combination Motorsports. They have a website www.cmotorsports.com They also have lots of different cams with a breaf discription of each one. The XE224/230 is a great cam. I think it's stronger than the 305, but I don't know if it's street legal.
