I'm getting in a bit late on the discussion, but I went with TPIS long tubes on my car, and for a few reasons. 1) They aren't mass produced like Hooker 2) They were the only set of LT's i could find that actually had a Y-pipe w/ cats available, so I'll be emissions legal in my area, and 3) out of all the long tubes, the TPIS LT's offer superior ground clearance, which is good for me b/c I've got a lowered car. I got 'em coated too. Anyways, they're a bit more expensive, but well worth the $$$ I think. Just my ten cents worth....

Ok well right now my 93 trans am is just getting some bolt ons, and from what I've heard LTs get more horses but alot of people seem to think they do better on motors will more mods. Plus Im thinking about getting lowering springs(maybe). But right now im going with shorties. Also there are tons of cars that pull great power with shorties. They might do better with LTs but o well. I might switch if I really need the extra horses but all that depends on what I do internally to my motor(eventually) I am going to get whatever I get coated though to decrease underhood temp. thanks guys

Supposedly RK sports are the same header, they sure look pretty identical, so check into that.

I went from macs & borla catback w/ offroad pipe to hooker long tubes & 3" duals. N/A times went from 8.10's@86mph on a 1.78 60 ft. to 8.0's@88mph. I thinks the et increase would have been more dramatic in the 1/4 as the car pulls so much harder now & shift point went from around 6100/6200 to 6500/6600. I have no new n20 times yet. Later.

I know of them. They are not to far from me. Thanks for the info. I'm thinking about those also. Would like long tubes but it's to much trouble for me.
