longtube or shortys? for 1/4 time
I have bolt ons and i gained 26 hp to the wheels with the SLP shorty headers. I love them. My car is lowered, so i needed an alternative to LT's. The SLP's are more like mid-length headers. I'm sure if I had heads/cam, LT's would give me a better edge, but i'm really happy with the SLP's.
Exactly... With heads and cam you most likely have a higher powerband and thus need the LTs but if you get a cam that peaks lower you need the shorties.. It will combine perfectly with the cam and heads and it will amplify torque as the cam and headas does.. so its all about combo.

I thought that with a stock car and cam the shorties gave it a better punch, since you get the torque down low the LTs dont give you and since you are not pumping that much air out, the total gains are the same, so shorties where the way to go with a stock car. If you later modify I know its long tubes.. but for stock
