Longtube/ORY Related Question

I decided to go with hooker longtubes and a mufflex ORY.

My question is after install where will the ORY end? I am asking this because when i purchased my loudmouth catback, I decided not to pay the 80 bucks for the 3 in. S pipe. I am trying to have my exhaust all figured out and have all of the parts needed so it fits nice when I install it. Obviously with longtubes I would want that section to be 3 in. pipe. Also is there room to put a high flow cat in between where the ORY ends and the catback begins?

I hope I didn't make this post more confusing then it is.

Re: Longtube/ORY Related Question

i fit pacesetter lts, ory, hi flow cat, and lm so ya it will fit but you will just have to do a little trimming on the pipes because its a really tight fit, and if you get lts/ory you dont need the s pipe, which i thought i would need, and now i have a spare one laying around... it sounds awesome! i dont care what people think that its obnoxious, cause i dont!

Same here, the Magnaflow kit came with the S-pipe, I had no idea what it was for. I ended up pitching it, too much junk lying around... If I realized that was an 80.00 pipe though, I would have thought twice before throwing it out.

Re: Longtube/ORY Related Question

If it's like the pacesetters, and i assume it is, the y-pipe will end next to the driveshaft. I had to cut the S-section off my hooker intermediate pipe and get it expanded so it couild slip over the y-pipe. While i didn't measure, it dosnt' look like there is much room to fit a cat after the y-pipe. Also i beleive it'd be too far down the exhaust for it to be effective, it most likely won't heat up enough to do it's job.

Good post. I didn't even think of how far away the cat would be to do its job. What part of the y pipe should I put the cat?
