My wires only have 2K on them, the whole car only has 14K
You can use the wires you have now....just make sure you use lots of zip ties and keep them away from the header primaries. I went with OTVC to save the headaches of burnt plug wires...

I'd say the Pacesetters are compareable in clearance to the TPiS Longtubes. There's some pics of the collectors in my webshots album. They clear the oil filter with lots of room.

Cmr0z28 ~ Since the collectors are slip-fit, Is welding manditory? Or can they be clamped? Also what did it cost you to have a shop weld them up for you ?

I got my custom ypipe with cats done.
Here's some pics of the ground clearance from both of the sides for the TPiS headers. The Pacesetters look like they would be comparable and at 1/2 the price of the TPiS's
The slip fit uses a clamp as you can see.
Welding would give a little more clearance.
Maybe I'll try turning the clamps over so the nuts face up.

Thanks, They look like they should have enough clearance for what I need, so as soon as I have enough $$$ im going to get Pace Setters, and then ill turn the clamps to the side so they arent sticking down.

Im most likely going to get a shop to make me a custom Y pipe, If I supply the cat, about what would it cost for a Y-Pipe ??? Rough estimates anyone ?

i just had a y pipe fabricated yesterday, 200 bucks, under the table....

they said it was 100 extra since i wasn't running a cat and they were commiting a federal offense.

You may be better off to get the pacesetter offroad pipe and then put the cat at the I pipe.
Mine cost 400.00 but that was stainless and included welding in 2 cats and 02 bungs and straightening out my Magnaflow which was crooked.

On the drivers side we had to flatten down the pipe where it goes past the crossmember to get the ground clearance I wanted. We also hammered dowm on the crossmember. We used 2 1/2 " pipe.
If you have the inclination you could cut the crossmember where you have to and weld in a 1/8 " plate to give you the clearance you need not to have to flatten the ypipe.
The pacesetter pipe is probably 3" and already flattenned at the crossmember.

Wouldnt putting a cat in the I pipe be too far from the manifolds and then the exhaust would be to cold to heat up the cat and make it work ?

Well the closer the better but it would still heat up and work if you put it right after the y. The AIR pump pumps air into the exhaust for 2 min on startup to help heat up the cats like a bellows.
I have my 2 Random bullet cats about a foot after the collectors.
I had to relocate my brake and fuel lines to get the driver side clearance where it is in the pics.
Also I went custom because of my Gearvendors unit that adds 14" to the transmission and I figured the y pipe would interfere.
I have 5 fingers of clearance under the driver cat or about 4 1/2 inches, and 5 inches on the passenger side.
Maybe you should go with a custom pipe.
I'll be taking some more pics tomorrow of the underside of my car now that my exhaust is finished to my satisfaction.
I'll post them tomorrow.

TPiS will probably be your best option. They have the best ground clearance from what I've seen.

Ok thanks, If anyone has a pic of the Pace Setter Y-Pipe, or knows a site that has a pic of it, thatd be awesome.

Also, I plan on eventually running an E-Cutout, how big of a difference will it make in loudness If I put it AFTER the cat instead of Before ?

loudness is sweet & intimidating

I really like TPiS's but theyre more expensive then what it would cost me for Pace Setters, y, and proobly the cat too ... And I checked a fwe places, seems like theyre ground clearance is almost identical between the two. Thanks anyways though.
