Lightbulb which long tubes are best for 95 LT1-With emissions

Ok, I have been told some are better than others, then the next person bad mouths the ones I had been set on buying, and so on. So, straight up, which ones are the best as far as fit, spark plug reach, and I will be using OTVC wires, so they must have room for them. I want the AIR and EGR hookup, but I want the Y pipe to be cat free. If I need cats later, I can weld them in. But for now there is no emissions testing in MN, I just want headers that I can hook up later if they start testing. I want coated, and the y pipe included if possible. I have been watchin ebay, and found pacesetters, dynatechs, hooker, jet hot, and so on. I have heard hooker sucks *****, and the slip fit dynatechs seemed to be well liked by most. Does the collectors seal good? I don't want the annoying ticking of an exhaust leak.
Thanks everyone, as I really appreciate it and I love this site for the simple fact you can talk to people who have already been there, done that and have a wealth of experience.

Personally, I used the Pacesetter LTs with all the emissions hookups. I sealed everything up with band-style clamps and have had no exhaust leaks whatsoever. Pacesetter also makes their own ORY pipe for the long tubes and that is without cats. obviously.

I used Pacesetter Lt's and I like them a great deal. When i redo mine I will def use Bandclamps again since the first time i used the horseshoe type clamp and it made removing the Y pipe a PITA. The only other header I would use would be Kook's but are over twice the price. For a budget the Pacesetters fit the bill, and are very nice.

alright, thanks so much! what band clamps you talkin about? prices, pics, part numbers? I would like to know now how much this is gonna cost me. Also, did they work well with over the valve cover wires?
thanks

I don't recall the part number off hand, they were the "3" band-style" clamp and they were around 9.00 apiece from Summit.

Sorry, I forgot to add this to my above post... the band-style clamps will have nothing to do with your over the valve cover wire setup. They simply seal the connection between the header collectors and y-pipe and the end of the y-pipe to the I-pipe of your cat-back exhaust.

You can also get the bandclamps from most any parts stores, i know I got mine from the local Carquest parts store for around the same price. The Only other thing i would strongly suggest is getting Poly motor mounts as well. They are very easy to replace when the manifolds/headers are out. This should make most clearance issues some have had almost non-existant.

yeah, I already have polly engine mounts, tranny mount, lower control arm bushings, pan hard bushings, and torque arm bushings. But thanks for the heads up!
