long tube y pipe question

long tube y pipe question

If i get longtubes for my lt1 i need a cat to pass inspection cause its my daily driver. Its a 94 z28, does anyone know if someone makes a y pipe with a cat for longtubes?

there is a setup that you can buy from TPIS, they make a long tube header with a dual cat y-pipe setup. its pretty expensive though.http://www.tbyrne.com/lt1catalog.html

In my opinion, your best bet would be to get a regular y-pipe with Jet Hot or Hooker headers, and then just have a muffler shop weld in some cats, I think it would be cheaper in the long run. Any other questions feel free to ask, any problem you can possibley run into with long tubes, ive run into them.
