no pics, but this might work for you
i was going to try it myself (since i have a custom one on my rs) but it just didn't seem worth it
ended up going with a k/n even though that's a b**** to get in also (atleast to tighten the screw on the filter)

here is what I did I bought the only filter in town that would work its a k&N about 16" tall and cylindrical in shape and thats why I had to use dryer vent tubing to make the connection work, would have been better to order one that would work but I was in a rush to do it that day. Works great

Yeah that'll flow great The reason I decided to make my own was that I thought I would end up saving money and it sounded like a fun project. I think I spent about $110 total. Probably would have been better to pick up a used kit off the forsale board here. Oh well I think it flows as well or better than the kits out there.

Here's the one i was going to make. The filter alone was about $100. It's a k&N 18x7 long cylindrical filter. I made the pic in MS paint... the real setup would fill the entire open area, and you would not see the pvc pipe

Mines not an LT1 but design is similar. Cost me about $40 total. Its a 3 1/2in system all the way. That tie wrap doesn't really need to be there and I was in a hurry to get the project done so I didn't paint the tube black. I was dumb cuz I had black tube before I bought the gray one(I didn't know) Since then....I just forgot about it and haven't done anything about it yet. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...83000150MfcvIt
