It shouldn't hurt anything since the computer will pull timing if it detects any knock from the engine. I'd just keep running the good stuff personally.

What part of FL are you moving to?

I got worse mileage with 87 octane.... It was around 20 MPG and it didtnhelp with performance(ie knock retard)

93 octane-- 24 MPG.....

It not worth it..... its about a 20 cent difference on cost per gallon.... you save 3.00 dollars a fill up...

yeah, I dident think it would be that big of a diffrence its like 180 dollars in gas to fill up 6 times with the good stuff. and 162 dollars with the regular, so I guess I was being cheap, I shouldent start being cheap now I guess. Im comming from st.paul minnesota all the way to tampa florida, well new port richey 20 minn north. thanks for the advice guys

Ahhh, just drive it - no matter what gas you put in it, it will be fine.

My Z28 is a company car, and I drive from New York to Southwest Florida all the time, while towing boats! It's a 1350 mile trip each way, and I run 87 octane. Sometimes I'll put 93 in it though. Towing I get about 20 mpg on the highway. When I'm not towing, I get about 27.

Never ever a problem from my Z28. And yes, I tow at 80 mph in overdrive too.
