So, I plan on checking fuel pressure, so we can skip that part

So right now the car as 157k miles on it, it has had the current 383 in my sig in it for 22k miles.

I have seen nothing for me to suspect the pump was going out, it did cut out near redline but I believe that could be "other" issues. That has been around for years (I know, I know, fix it).

So, yesterday I drove home 75 miles down the interstate between 2500-3100rpm without issue.

I go to start the car this morning and it attempts to start by firing once or twice but not enough to get it going. It was about 34 degrees out (not that temp ever matters, it always fires right up).

Well, tonight I come home to try and see what the issue is, coil is sparking. After I pumped the gas a couple times, then held it to the floor it finally started up and idled just fine. 157k miles is quite a bit for a fuel pump, 22k of them being with a built engine. So, opinions?

If the fuel pressure is low, I know I would try changing the filter before the pump? When was the last time you changed the filter.

It still has the factory pump in it? The original pump in my car lasted 100K, but after the car sat for 6-7 years that pump was shot.

I believe it is the original pump, I changed the filter about 30k miles ago. I can change it again just for piece of mind while I am doing the pump though (if it is the pump).

EDIT: so I go out today (its been 65 degrees out today) and the darn thing fires right up like nothing ever happened.

Possibly got moisture in it from the rain the night before, ill give it a few days.

Check your fuel pressure before starting, let it pressure up and see how much it drops , if it only goes down a little (3-10 PSI or so) then it should start, if it drops quite a bit or to zero then you could have a few things wrong, Badly leaking injector, bad regulator, or bad pump (it has a valve that holds or releases the pressure in it.
