Locking Lug nuts

Where's a good place to find the Locking lug nuts for our cars...and I don't mean the "GM" ones either.

Yeah...that's what I mean...most of the Locking lugnut sets they sell are universal and you can buy the keys for them anywhere...but some wheel shops make thier own Lock nut kits...with thier own keys for them that only they have...I know AFS wheels is one of them but they want like crazy cake for em.

The other alternative is just lowering your car to the point where you cant get a jack(s) under it. Works for me .

Impossible lug nuts without the special socket help too (again, )

That doesn't work...Any Smart thief would know to raise the car up from the rear by the LCA's

You'd be amazed at some of the things people do to get what they want. You've got to remember most of these guys are car experts that do that stuff for a living. The average rip offer will probably get the other 4 lugs off then attempt to get the locking nut off then just give up. The semi professional will jack the rear of the car up and just prop it up as he works his way around to get allt the wheels...the Pro-Perfessional thief will just say to hell with it all and steal the damn car.

But seriously you can raise the rear up if you place the jack underneath the one of the Lower Control arms and pump it up that way...Just put a jack standunderneath the support area once you have clearance and take it from there. My cars 4 inches off the ground on the sides and 3 off the ground from the front. So I had to learn some tricks when working on the car.

yea, without having to search for the right socket, I can have a set of locks off in about a minute. We have to do it often at work

You don,t understand I guess.
All it takes is a socket just a little smaller than the diameter of the lock and a hammer.
You hammer the socket onto the locking lug nut and spin it off in no time. If you have a little (very little) know how you can have the locking lugs off as quick as a regular lug nut.

Well if you have locking lugs on all 5 studs it would take quite a while to completly strip all the wheels off the car. They may not prevent theft completly but they will certanily delay it.

True. Anything you can do to make it harder for a thief is a good thing but it sure would be a PITA to take your wheels off.
You would probably be better off installing an alarm system that will protect your whole car and it would not be as time consuming as having seperate lock nuts on every damn lug.

that would be a pain in the *** to have all 5 lugs be locks imagine having to search for what lock is the right one, then the price for 5 sets of locks(seeing they go for about 20 bucks or so)
