Location of cats and cutouts.

Where are you guys putting your cat/s and cutout/s. On the y-pipe, after the y-pipe. Would putting one highflow cat right after the end of the y-pipe be good, because i heard that they have to be close to the headers in order to function properly. Will i pass emmissions with just one hi-flow cat in that location.

Re: Location of cats and cutouts.

My cat is in the trash can at the muffler shop and my cutout is where it used to be right at the end of the y-pipe.

I would put the cutout as close as you can to the cat if you have to keep it for emissions reasons.

Cats must be as close to the motor as possible or they wont get hot enough to function properly. The only option is to go dual cats with LT headers.
